This remote, single-family house made of natural stone stands alone, mere 10 meters from the sea, in “Studena” bay on the island of Brač. It can be accessed within minutes by boat only. The house has its own mooring for anchoring and its own access to the sea (rocky beach and an extended wooden jetty right above the water of around 30m²).
A motorboat of 5 HP or a speed boat can be hired in addition via the owner upon request. Guests can be instructed in driving the boat and anchoring etc.
How to arrive:
- If you arrive by own transport to Brač:
We will be in contact beforehand, we will meet you at the only gas station in Selca/Sumartin (easy to find), we can then pick up any supplies you need, we take you by boat to the beachhouse Studena and show you how everything in the accommodation works.
- If you arrive at Split airport, no car:
You can either rent a car there, use a taxi or upon request hire us to pick you up at the airport/harbour.
Once you’re on your own we are available to you at any time for help and supplies.
Car park:
The outdoor car parking space at the meeting point for boat transfer next to the gas station is safe and free throughout your stay, or there is parking available on request in a locked garage at a supplementary charge.
Surroundings:
The bay carved 500 metres deep into the karst affords a unique view of the sea and the pristine nature, as well as providing the opportunity for fishing, swimming, hiking etc.
Not far from the bay there are further secluded bays and pebbled beaches (Spiljice, Zirje, Hrvatska with a restaurant), all accessible by boat.
The water is crystal clear which means that you can see any rocks, water plants etc. under water, so swimming footwear is not absolutely necessary. There are no dangers lurking in the underwater flora and fauna of the Adriatic.
The village Sumartin can be reached by boat in 15 minutes (regular boat) or 5 minutes (high speed boat). There you can find all basic services, such as grocery shop, cafes and restaurants, cash machine (ATM), ferry to mainland, etc.
Further shops and services (grocery shops, butcher, market square, pharmacy, doctor, hairdresser, etc.) you can find in the picturesque centre of Selca which you can reach by car within minutes. Visit the shop specializing in local olive oil and traditional products, with a sampling room.
Explore the whole island with its places of interest, such as the famous beach in Bol and the highest of all Adriatic island peaks. Brač is the third largest island at the Croatian coast. It is about 40 km long and about 12 km wide. With 2600 hours of sunshine per year, Brač is one of the sunniest parts in Croatia.
Extra services you can ask for:
Airport/harbour pick up, taxi, guided tours, boat rental, boat trip (with skipper), homegrown vegetables,…
