Accommodation

Amenities:

This rustic Dalmatian natural stone house with a sea view was fully renovated in 2013, but stayed true to its original style while furnished charmingly and tastefully. The interior is simple and stylish.

The solar-powered beach house in a remote location provides all the necessary comfort and convenience, such as electricity and hot water.

The house has:

  • a bedroom with a double bed (200cm wide),
  • a bathroom with a shower, toilet and washbasin,
  • a living and dining room with a sofa/bed for two people, satellite TV, a dining table and an open-plan kitchen, equipped with a two-ring gas hob, a fridge with a freezer compartment and a coffee maker.

Towels, bed cloths and tea towels are included in the price.

Free Internet access is available throughout the accommodation.

The house offers a wood stove and a flow heater for hot water in the cooler season. The stove in the living room can heat the whole house.  As a result, the house offers all the comfort and hot water throughout the year, which is available around the clock, regardless of the solar operation. The gas powered flow heater is located on the outside wall of the house. It is extremely easy to use. Firewood is available on site.

Outdoor area:

The 5000m² site is in a bay right by the sea and has several sea-view terraces, as well as a grill station (firewood included) and a dining table with a bench. The terrace with a grill in front of the entrance area is roofed and has easy access to the kitchen.

The house has its own mooring for anchoring and its own access to the sea (rocky beach and an extended wooden jetty right above the water of around 30m²).

Particularities:

Due to the special remote location of the house, some restrictions must be noted: please use water sparingly (shorter showers, do not wash the dishes under running water. Due to solar power, no hairdryer and other appliances with high demand for electricity can be used.

The house cannot be accessed by car. The owners recommend leaving your car at a suitable parking space in Selca, followed by a boat transfer. The house can also be accessed on foot along a steep path in the bay. Selca and Sumartin are each 3km away, via land.

The owners Kole and Irena live in the nearby town of Selca (3km). They lived in Germany and Austria for many years and speak German and English fluently. They are there for you not only in emergencies, but are happy to provide advice on arrival and during your stay, for example with regard to logistics (food supplies, car parking etc.). They regularly dispose of rubbish and can bring fresh groceries (fresh bread, eggs, butter, meat, fruit, vegetables, etc.) once or twice a week.
